VISIONS VIDEOGRAPHY
& VISIONS VIDEO TRANSFER
***ATTENTION***
If you have VHS or 8mm videotapes that are 15+ years old, you need to get them transferred to DVD ASAP.

Videotape has a limited lifespan and VHS is now effectively obsolete.  VHS VCR's are getting harder and harder to find and soon will be unavailable to purchase new.  Most people these days don't even have a VCR connected to their TV's anymore. Yet they have weddings, 1st birthdays, dance recitals and graduations that are priceless memories stored on aging tapes that will degrade to the point of being unwatchable.  At Visions Videography we regularly transfer 50 year old movie film that still looks great, but more and more we are seeing videotapes less than half that age that have lost so much image integrity that are beyond saving.  Don't let this happen to your tapes.  Call or email us so we can help you preserve your family history.
Gluten Free Cooking in Ann's Kitchen
Ann Brown began cooking gluten free when her husband, Jim, was diagnosed with Celiac Disease in the mid 1970's.  At the time, in the United States, there was almost no awareness of Celiac Disease or gluten intolerance in either the general public or the medical community.  "Gluten Free" was a phrase never seen on product packages and actually finding prepared foods like breads was very challenging.  Out of necessity Ann began learning to convert all the family favorite meals to gluten free.  Over the past 30 years Ann has become such an expert at recipe conversion that few can tell her gluten free meals from their "normal" versions.

If you or a family member has been diagnosed as Celiac or gluten intolerant, perhaps you have felt the frustration or fear of facing the idea of never being able to eat your favorite foods again because they are all made with wheat flour.  Even though store shelves are finally beginning to fill up with products labeled gluten free, you cannot have helped but notice the prices of gluten free products is easily twice that of their counterparts.  You may have also noticed the taste of many of those over priced items is lacking at best and down right terrible at worst.

Enjoying good tasting food is an extremely important part of our lives.  Many celiacs actually put their lives in danger because the prospect of never again enjoying some foods is more than they can bear, so they choose to continue to eat foods they know will make them sick.  Many suffer depression because of it.

Why suffer?  Okay, you have celiac disease or gluten intolerance.  You're going to have to deal with that reality.  It's in your DNA and it's not going to go away.  What are you going do? You cannot continue to eat foods containing wheat, rye or barley!  Doing so may very well kill you.  Certainly not in an instant like a bee sting or peanut allergy, but you will slowly destroy your body if you don't stop.  Life is too short to needlessly suffer.  We all lead busy lives these days and have gotten used to microwave meals and pizza delivery.  Being gluten free will force you to make changes in your lifestyle, no doubt, but living off of peanut butter on rice cakes is unnecessary (unless you really like peanut butter on rice cakes).

To help you and your family, Ann has created a DVD series to pass on the expertise she has spent the past 30 years acquiring.  You'll learn how to bake your own sandwich breads, pizza crusts, breakfast biscuits, cakes, cookies and pies.  She'll teach you how to convert your favorite recipes to gluten free so you can enjoy them again.

Currently there are 2 DVDs available:

In "Basic Breads", you'll learn about setting up your kitchen to cook gluten free and recipe conversion.  Also, Ann will show you how to make sandwich bread, buttermilk biscuits, pizza crust, bread sticks and old fashioned southern cornbread.

In "Holiday Cooking", you'll learn the fine art of gluten free pie crusts as Ann makes a classic apple pie.  She will also show you how to make sugar cookies that melt in mouth.

Currently in production is a DVD on cakes that are so good you will not realize they are gluten free.

The DVDs are $19.95.  For ordering information click on the "Contact Us" link to your left.
