DVD's are created either by recording onto blank DVD's or by "replicating" which is a mass-produced process such as you find with Hollywood movies.  At our facility we record to either DVD-R or DVD+R discs.  We are unable to replicate discs but if you require 1000 or more copies we can have this service performed for you.

DVD compatibility:  All DVD players will play replicated discs.  However, not all DVD players will play both DVD-R and DVD+R discs.  Most will play DVD-R.  For this reason we prefer to record to DVD-R discs.  Your particular player may only playback DVD+R discs.  To insure that we create a disc compatible with your player we ask that you provide us with the make and model of your DVD player if at all possible.  Even so, if we create a DVD-R disc and it will not playback in your player, send the disc back to us and we will send you a DVD+R disc for no charge.

A DVD will hold up to 6 hours of programming.  We recommend, however, recording no more than 4 hours of programming to insure quality.  We can combine tapes to a single DVD if you like. 

In most cases the DVD we create for you will open up with a "Menu" page.  We can add additional "chapters" to the menu for $2 each. 

We can also create professional looking "Authored" discs.  These come with custom made menus and effects as per your specifications.  The cost for creating authored discs may be double or triple the standard rate for creating the master disc.   Copy rates remain the same.

If you provide us more than 4 hours of programming and we have to start a 2nd master disc, we give you a 20% discount off our normal mastering rates.
